This morning our Prime Minister tweeted a very harmful tweet regarding Transgender children:
“We do not need ‘gender whisperers’ in our schools. Let kids be kids.”
His tweet was reportedly in response to an article in The Daily Telegraph. It concerns me when news publications and Politicians promote inaccurate and harmful information about transgender identity and care. However, Sam Langford from Junkee published this piece, which is informative and well researched in response. I can’t say any of it any better myself, so instead I’ll just post the article here.
